For the past 25 years, The Computer Shoppe has specialized in custom solutions that work for your home and business. We stand behind the products we sell with an Apple Certified service department.

When contacting our service department, please give your name, the type of equipment you are working with (example- iMac 266MHz with Epson 740), specific problem you have encountered, and any other pertinent information (date of purchase, serial numbers, Apple Case Numbers, etc). Email and phone support are provided to customers of The Computer Shoppe only. Not all problems can be solved over the phone and may require a visit to our service department. Keep in mind that most warranties cover only hardware issues and the labor associated with those issues. Any machine brought in for service with software issues will be subject to our minimum service fee.

Apple Warranty Repairs:

Customers do not need to call Apple to have a repair scheduled. Simply bring your computer and a copy of your original purchase receipt, or Apple Care Agreement Number into our Service Department and we will take it from there. Didn't buy your Mac from us? Doesn't matter! No matter where you purchased your Mac, we can provide warranty service without the hassle.

Some systems come with onsite warranty coverage that even covers drive time, pickup and/or delivery where possible (limited due to part stocking and safety restrictions). Call us for details or coverage information. Customers who bring their machine in to our store will take advantage of a speedier turnaround in most cases. Don't live within reasonable driving distance to The Computer Shoppe? Mail your machine to us and we'll take care of you as if you had just walked in the door.

The original Apple warranty and the extended AppleCare warranty covers hardware parts and the labor associated with fixing or replacing those parts.

Items NOT covered under warranty include, but not limited to:

  • Software conflicts and troubleshooting
  • Mac OS system corruption
  • Powermac G5 Fan Calibration/Reset
  • Dirty or dusty machines
  • Loss of revenue or costs incurred due to lost data
  • Third party products and related software
  • Anything that has become jammed in a printer, media drives, etc.
  • Excessive wear and tear
  • Laptop Plastics (case cracks, feet missing, etc...)
  • Laptop Batteries over 1yr are not covered even with Applecare.
